Walmart Stocker / Backroom / Receiving Associate

About the Role

Walmart is seeking dedicated Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support essential support store operations. This role is critical for ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and ready for customers. Associates play a key part in the logistics chain, from the initial unloading of deliveries to the final presentation of merchandise on the shelves.

Day in the Life

As a Stocker or Backroom Associate, your day involves a variety of physical and organizational tasks. You will be responsible for unloading trucks, sorting and organizing merchandise in the backroom, and preparing items for the sales floor. This includes rotating inventory, building displays, and setting up promotional displays, and labeling products, and maintaining a clean, organized environment in both the backroom and on the sales floor.

Depending on the shift, you may utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and carts, as well as inventory systems, to move and track merchandise efficiently. Overnight stockers specifically focus on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while the store is closed, ensuring the location is ready for the next day's shoppers.
