Job Description
About the Role
Walmart is seeking Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the seamless flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining an organized, well-stocked, and clean shopping environment for customers.
Day in the Life
As a Stocker or Backroom Associate, you will be responsible for unloading delivery trucks, sorting and organizing merchandise in the backroom, and stocking shelves with precision. Your day may involve rotating inventory, building promotional displays, labeling products, and using tools such as pallet jacks, carts, and inventory systems to track and move merchandise throughout the store.
Overnight stockers focus specifically on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while it is closed, ensuring that the sales floor is ready for the next day's customers. Throughout the shift, you will assist with truck unloads, organize backroom bins, and help keep both the backroom and sales floor organized and clean.
Why Join Walmart?
We offer competitive pay ranging from $15 to $21 per hour, with opportunities for additional compensation including overnight shift differential pay, overtime pay, holiday pay, and performance-based raises, depending on your shift and location. Some locations may also offer overnight shift bonuses and attendance incentives.
Full-time and part-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, employee discount programs, and tuition assistance through Walmart’s Live Better U program. We also provide clear opportunities for advancement into Team Lead or Department Manager roles.
