About the Role
Walmart is seeking Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining an organized, well-stocked, and clean shopping environment for customers.
Day in the Life
As a Stocker or Backroom Associate, you will be responsible for unloading delivery trucks, sorting and organizing merchandise in the backroom, and stocking shelves with fresh inventory. You will rotate stock to ensure product freshness, build promotional displays, label products, and keep both the backroom and sales floor organized. Depending on your shift, you may use pallet jacks, carts, and inventory systems to move and track merchandise throughout the store.
Overnight stockers focus specifically on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while it is closed, ensuring the location is ready for the next day's customers. Full-time and part-time employees may also assist with truck unloads and help keep the store clean and organized.
