About the Role
Walmart is seeking Stockers, Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining an organized, well-stocked, and clean environment that enhances the shopping experience for our customers.
Day in the Life
As a Stocker or Backroom Associate, your day involves a variety of physical and organizational tasks. You will be responsible for unloading delivery trucks, sorting merchandise, and organizing inventory in the backroom. Using tools such as pallet jacks, carts, and inventory systems, carts, and inventory tracking systems, you will move and manage merchandise throughout the store.
Key activities include:
- Stocking shelves and rotating inventory to ensure freshness and availability.
- Building and setting up promotional displays.
- Labeling products and preparing merchandise for the sales floor.
- Keeping both the backroom and sales floor organized and sales floor clean and tidy.
Overnight stockers focus specifically on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while the store is closed.
