Walmart is seeking Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the seamless flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining an organized, well-stocked, and clean environment that enhances the shopping experience for customers.

Day in the Life

As a Stocker or Backroom Associate, you will be responsible for unloading delivery trucks, sorting merchandise, and organizing inventory in the backroom. You will use tools such as pallet jacks, carts, and inventory systems to move and track merchandise throughout the store. Your duties include stocking shelves, rotating inventory, building displays, labeling products, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. Backroom and Receiving Associates also play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and keeping both the backroom and sales floor organized.

Overnight stockers focus on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while it is closed, ensuring that the store is ready for customers the next day. Full-time and part-time employees may have opportunities for advancement into Team Lead or Department Manager roles, with performance-based raises and shift differentials available depending on the location and shift worked.
