About the Role
Walmart is seeking Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the efficient flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy, organizing backroom bins, and preparing the store for customers.
Day in the Life
Associates in this position are responsible for a variety of tasks that keep the store running smoothly. Key activities include:
- Unloading trucks and sorting merchandise in the backroom.
- Stocking shelves and rotating inventory to ensure freshness and availability.
- Building displays and labeling products for the sales floor.
- Using pallet jacks, carts, and inventory systems to move and track merchandise.
- Keeping the backroom and sales floor organized and clean.
Overnight stockers focus specifically on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while it is closed. Full-time and part-time employees may also have opportunities for advancement into Team Lead or Department Manager roles.
