About the Role
Walmart is seeking Stockers, Backroom, and Receiving Associates to support store operations by ensuring the seamless flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. This role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy, organizing backroom bins, and preparing the store for customers.
Day in the Life
As a Stocker or Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for unloading trucks, sorting and organizing merchandise in the backroom, and stocking shelves. You will use pallet jacks, carts, and inventory systems to move and track merchandise throughout the store. Your duties include rotating inventory, building displays, labeling products, and keeping both the backroom and sales floor organized and clean.
Overnight stockers focus specifically on stocking shelves and preparing the store for opening while it is closed. Full-time and part-time employees may also have opportunities for advancement into Team Lead or Department Manager roles.
