About the Role

This position is for a Forklift Operator based in Alsip, IL, focusing on the efficient and safe movement of goods within a warehouse environment. The role is critical for ensuring orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment, with a specific emphasis on minimizing shipping damage through proper stacking and palletizing techniques.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

You will operate Raymond or Crown Stand Up Reach Forklifts to fill orders according to section numbers. Your day involves packing items into cartons, documenting hazardous material shipments with correct labeling, and entering data into scan guns. The role requires preparing orders for shipment by palletizing, wrapping, and loading pallets and pieces into trucks, while ensuring all necessary paperwork and packing lists are completed accurately.

Qualifications & Testing

Candidates must have previous experience operating Raymond or Crown Stand Up Reach Forklifts. A mandatory practical test on one of these specific truck models is required to secure the position. Applicants must also be able to complete routine paperwork and be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.

Schedule & Location

This is a long-term position located in Alsip, IL (60803). The shift runs Monday through Thursday, 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 2:00 AM, with a starting rate of $22.00/hr.
