At Impulse, we are a fast-paced, agile team dedicated to producing high-performance spacecraft from clean sheet designs. Building on the success of our Mira spacecraft program, we are developing next-generation propulsion systems for both on-orbit and lander applications. Our mission is to drive innovation in aerospace hardware through rigorous in-house design, analysis, and operation.
As a Senior Propulsion Development Engineer (Thrusters), you will own the full lifecycle of storable, liquid bipropellant thruster and subsystem development. You will partner with wide-ranging teams across engineering, manufacturing, and operations to deliver reliable, highly integrated systems. This role is designed for a resourceful technical leader who thrives in a startup environment, capable of resolving complex technical issues and leading small engineering teams through project ownership.
Candidates selected for this role will be evaluated based on merit, competence, and qualifications. The process involves a review of technical capabilities and experience in aerospace propulsion, specifically regarding bipropellant rocket engines and combustion devices.
Impulse Space is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Employment is governed strictly by merit and qualifications, without influence from race, color, religion, gender, national origin, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, or any other legally protected status.
Please note that our spacecraft manufacturing business is subject to U.S. export regulations, including ITAR and EAR. This position requires applicants to be U.S. Persons or eligible for an export license from the U.S. Departments of State, Commerce, or other applicable agencies.
