The Emergency Department is a 50-bed unit dedicated to the initial evaluation and care of patients presenting with illness or injury. Staffed by board-certified emergency physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and registered nurses, the department sees an average of 170 patients per day. These patients present with varying acuities and a wide variety of illnesses and injuries, ranging from pediatric to geriatric cases.
As a Staff Nurse in this environment, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide age-specific, quality care. You will utilize the nursing process to resolve identified patient problems and deliver treatment as ordered by physicians, ensuring safe and high-quality care for every patient.
This is a Temporary Full-Time Internal Agency position. The role requires a commitment to work a full week of 36 hours for a duration of twelve (12) weeks, with the possibility of extension for a second 12-week period upon mutual agreement. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend, with rotating holidays as applicable. Hours are scheduled to total 432 hours over the 12-week period (or 864 hours if extended). While the primary assignment is in the Emergency Department, nurses may be floated to other units within the hospital where they have demonstrated competency.
Please note that this status is temporary and not eligible for AnMed benefits. Compensation includes an internal agency premium rate per hour plus appropriate shift, weekend, and holiday differentials; however, additional add-on pay types or special shift bonus programs are not available for this role.
Current AnMed employees are not eligible for this program. Rehires are eligible after 91 days from separation.
