Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) is an advanced information technology and engineering company dedicated to providing innovative products and services to the U.S. government, private industry, and independent institutions. At the core of our capabilities is a seasoned team of highly skilled engineers and scientists with multidisciplinary backgrounds. We are challenged daily to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that support critical national missions.
This position serves as the final technical authority for a team developing and implementing RF system designs for Navy communication systems. You will direct the application of engineering principles across the project, defining and optimizing the end-to-end RF signal chain to ensure system-level performance. Your expertise will be vital in conducting research, analysis, and design to meet complex customer requirements.
In this role, you will lead root-cause analysis for challenging RF issues such as co-site interference and signal degradation within embedded architectures. You will utilize tools like Python or MATLAB to model RF propagation and validate designs before hardware fabrication. A key part of your day involves participating in critical technical design reviews, including System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), and Critical Design Reviews (CDR), as well as Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs).
You will also provide on-site or remote subject matter expertise during Navy shipboard or field-testing events to validate RF performance in real-world operational environments. This is a hands-on role requiring physical presence at project sites; it is not a remote opportunity.
Selected applicants for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The role requires U.S. citizenship and a U.S. Government Security Clearance at the Secret level with Top Secret/SCI eligibility.
