At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we tackle the world's most demanding challenges within the Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems (SEMS) organization. Our Radar Systems Engineering team brings together the brightest minds across our Moorestown, NJ, and Syracuse, NY sites to invent solutions where none previously existed. We collaborate with the best Radar engineers in the business to deliver quality designs and cutting-edge capabilities to a broad array of customers, including the Missile Defense Agency, US Navy, Air Force, Army, Space Force, and international partners such as Japan, Canada, Spain, Norway, Australia, and the UK.

About the Role

As a Sensor Systems Architect, you will join a team of diverse engineers and architects dedicated to advancing sensor architectures to stay ahead of ever-evolving customer needs across a wide range of environments and threat spaces. This role exists to drive the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems.

You will be the bridge between concept and reality, performing concept of operations design and radar behavior definition to drive capability implementation. Your day will involve conducting trade studies to analyze system-level performance impacts, developing detailed design documentation, and collaborating with subsystem teams to define clear, executable approaches for meeting mission success criteria. You will also represent the organization on contracts, interfacing with internal and external customers, program leadership, and multi-disciplinary teams on significant technical matters.
