At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we tackle the most demanding challenges in the world. Within the Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems (SEMS) organization, we collaborate with the best Radar engineers across our Moorestown, NJ, and Syracuse, NY sites to invent solutions where they don't yet exist. Our team of Radar Systems Engineers and Sensor Architects comes from diverse backgrounds and experience levels, united by a mission to deliver quality designs and cutting-edge capabilities to customers worldwide.
We support a broad array of Radar products for the Missile Defense Agency, US Navy, Air Force, US Army, Space Force, and international partners including Japan, Canada, Spain, Norway, Australia, and the UK.
As a Sensor Systems Architect, you will join the Sensor Architectures team to support the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. This role exists to drive radar capability implementation across subsystems by defining concepts of operations, radar behavior, and associated requirements.
You will thrive in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment where hard work is the fun part. Your day will involve conducting trade studies to analyze system-level performance impacts, developing detailed design documentation, and collaborating with subsystem teams to define clear, executable approaches for meeting mission success criteria. You will also represent the organization on contracts, interfacing with internal and external customers, program leadership, and senior leadership on significant technical matters.
If you are a lifelong learner with a passion for driving technology forward, this is the place for you. We seek experts ready to apply their skills to advancing sensor architectures and staying ahead of ever-evolving customer needs across a broad array of environments and threat spaces.
At Lockheed Martin, we value your unique skills and expertise. We aim to give back continuously by offering a wide variety of benefits to help employees live flexible, healthy, and fulfilling lives. Our culture promotes work-life balance through flexible scheduling options, including a Flex 4/10 schedule (every Friday off), a Flex 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off), or a 5/8 schedule. We also provide a competitive 401k match, bonuses, and comprehensive medical, dental, and life insurance.
