At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we tackle the world's most demanding challenges within the Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems (SEMS) organization. Our Radar Systems Engineering team brings together the brightest minds across our Moorestown, NJ, and Syracuse, NY sites to invent solutions where they don't yet exist. We collaborate with the best radar engineers in the business to deliver quality designs and cutting-edge capabilities to a broad array of customers, including the Missile Defense Agency, US Navy, Air Force, US Army, Space Force, and international partners in Japan, Canada, Spain, Norway, Australia, and the UK.

About the Role

As a Sensor Systems Architect, you will join a team of diverse engineers and architects dedicated to advancing sensor architectures. This role exists to drive the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. You will serve as a bridge between technical execution and strategic vision, performing concept of operations design, defining radar behavior, and developing requirements to drive capability implementation across subsystems.

In this dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment, you will conduct trade studies to analyze system-level performance impacts, develop detailed design documentation, and represent the organization on contracts. You will interface with internal and external customers, program leadership, and senior stakeholders to ensure mission success criteria are met through clear, executable, and testable approaches.
