At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we tackle the world's most demanding challenges within the Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems (SEMS) organization. Our Radar Systems Engineering team brings together the brightest minds across our Moorestown, NJ, and Syracuse, NY sites to invent solutions where they don't yet exist. We collaborate with the best Radar engineers in the business to deliver quality designs and cutting-edge capabilities to a broad array of customers, including the Missile Defense Agency, US Navy, Air Force, Army, Space Force, and international partners in Japan, Canada, Spain, Norway, Australia, and the UK.

About the Role

As a Sensor Systems Architect, you will join a team of diverse engineers and architects dedicated to advancing sensor architectures. This role exists to support the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. You will drive radar capability implementation by performing concept of operations design, defining radar behavior, and developing associated requirements. Your work will involve conducting trade studies to analyze system-level performance impacts and collaborating with subsystem teams to define clear, executable approaches for meeting mission success criteria. You will also represent the organization on contracts and interface with internal and external customers, program leadership, and multi-disciplinary teams on significant technical matters.
