At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we tackle the world's most demanding challenges within the Sensors, Effectors & Mission Systems (SEMS) organization. Our Radar Systems Engineering team brings together the brightest minds across our Moorestown, NJ, and Syracuse, NY sites to invent solutions where none previously existed. We collaborate with top-tier Radar engineers to deliver quality designs and cutting-edge capabilities to a broad array of customers, including the Missile Defense Agency, US Navy, Air Force, Army, Space Force, and international partners in Japan, Canada, Spain, Norway, Australia, and the UK.

About the Role

As a Sensor Systems Architect, you will join a team of diverse engineers and architects dedicated to advancing sensor architectures. This role exists to drive the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. You will serve as a bridge between technical execution and mission success, defining concepts of operation and translating them into clear, executable approaches for subsystem teams.

In this dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment, you will represent the organization on contracts and interface with internal and external customers, program leadership, and senior stakeholders. The work involves conducting trade studies to analyze system-level performance impacts and developing detailed design documentation. It is a position for those who enjoy technical challenges that require thinking outside the box and a passion for driving technology forward to stay ahead of evolving customer needs and threat spaces.
