Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider, is dedicated to public service and environmental preservation. They are seeking a Sr. Geographer – GIS Support to join their Cultural Resource organization in Portland, Oregon. This role is pivotal in providing advanced professional GIS services, utilizing computerized data capture, storage, and analysis to support visual displays, spatial analysis, and tabular reports across a wide variety of geographical projects. The position also involves developing and maintaining relational databases to manage data for thousands of archaeological, historic, and traditional cultural sites affected by the company's actions.
This is a hybrid position structured as a one-year renewable contract that includes employee benefits. The role exists to ensure the integrity of cultural resource data while supporting transmission construction, fiber optic, and land management projects through precise geospatial analysis and compliance reporting.
