The Statistical and Data Management Center of the Hepatitis B and HIV Cure Consortium (BICC) is dedicated to advancing the global fight against HIV and chronic Hepatitis B. Our work focuses on multinational cohorts that represent the diverse populations living with these diseases, driving scientific discovery through rigorous data management and statistical analysis.
As a Sr. Biostatistician, you will serve as a lead expert within a multidisciplinary team, managing and analyzing data from multicenter clinical trials and longitudinal studies. This role is pivotal in translating complex biodata into actionable scientific insights. You will supervise research data analysts and collaborate closely with principal investigators to define study objectives, design sampling strategies, and develop randomization and analysis plans.
Your day-to-day work involves integrating biodata from multiple sources, designing methodologic procedures for both exploratory and confirmatory analyses, and developing new statistical methodologies to advance project goals. You will be responsible for ensuring data integrity and compliance with HIPAA and Johns Hopkins IRB security policies while overseeing project milestones and team progress.
Qualified candidates will be reviewed based on their educational background and relevant experience in biostatistics or epidemiology. The selection process focuses on identifying individuals with the necessary technical proficiency in statistical programming, clinical trial design, and scientific communication to lead complex research initiatives.
