About the Role
The Sr. Application Developer, SAP will join the team at Rust-Oleum Corporation's Vernon Hills, IL location, with the flexibility to telecommute two days per week. This role is critical for supporting the technical lifecycle of our SAP ECC, BW, and CPI systems. You will participate in programming project teams, focusing on application development, system implementation, and the deployment of SAP CPI-based integrations.
In this position, you will design and build custom integration flows in hybrid environments, bridging on-premises and cloud-based applications. Your work will involve configuring pre-packaged cloud integrations, extending standard integration flows, and utilizing the SAP Cloud Connector. Beyond development, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving system and software problems, modifying existing software to correct errors or upgrade interfaces, and conducting technical research to provide actionable recommendations for IT-related topics.
You will also collaborate closely with engineering staff, data processing managers, and project managers to evaluate hardware and software interfaces, define performance requirements, and resolve complex technical issues. A key part of the role involves developing software programming and system support documentation in compliance with company standards and Sarbanes-Oxley legal requirements.
