The Warrensburg R-VI School District is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at Martin Warren Elementary School. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily instruction of special services students, ensuring a quality educational program tailored to their unique abilities and needs.
You will work under the supervision of the Building Administrator and the Director of Special Programs. Your day will involve preparing for classroom instruction, implementing effective teaching techniques, and collaborating to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that drive student success. This position requires a commitment to fostering positive interpersonal relationships with students, staff, and parents, while maintaining a classroom environment that promotes learning and constructive behavior management.
As a representative of the school, you will also supervise volunteers, paraprofessionals, or student interns as assigned, and assist with the identification process for special services students. You will be expected to follow district compliance plans and contribute to state and federal reporting requirements.
