About the Role
We are searching for the best talent for a Cybersecurity Software Engineer to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. This is an early-career position designed for a self-motivated, curious individual with a desire to bring essential, best-in-class cybersecurity controls into the medical field. You will work closely with other software engineers and multi-functional partners to improve the software cybersecurity of our products. Your unique talents will help patients on their journey to wellness.

- check_circleDevelop product software using C++ and scripting languages in an FDA regulated environment
- check_circlePerform software code reviews and design reviews with a security focus
- check_circleDefine software cybersecurity requirements and detail product design based on those requirements
- check_circleAdhere to organization and product level quality processes outlined in the Quality Management System
- check_circleCollaborate with cross-functional partners including Product Security, systems, test, and service teams
- check_circleDesign, implement, and test software solutions for cybersecurity controls
- check_circleConduct periodic risk assessments to identify and analyze software vulnerabilities
Requirements
- verifiedBS or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field
- verified2+ years of software development and testing experience
- verified2+ years of experience with software development using C++
- verified1+ years of experience implementing software controls for product/IOT cybersecurity
- verifiedKnowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as encryption, authentication and authorization
- verifiedWorking knowledge of Linux Ubuntu
- verifiedExperience of working with multi-threaded applications
- verifiedFamiliarity with shell scripting languages including bash
- verifiedMust be at least 18 years of age
- verifiedAbility to work onsite at the J&J office in Santa Clara, CA
Nice to Have
MS/MEng in Cybersecurity or similar field. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Dev-Sec-Ops tools and processes. Experience working with Agile methodology as an individual contributor. Experience analyzing security risks from sources such as penetration testing, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
