About the Mission

The War Data Platform (WDP) is a key initiative within the U.S. Department of War's (DoW) AI-First strategy introduced in early 2026. The WDP separates business and financial data from operational warfighting data, aiming to accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) on the battlefield. Extending to Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret environments, the platform supports collaboration between Combatant Commands, Joint Staff directorates, Senior Executive Service leaders, and operational analysts.

About the Role

This position serves as the WDP's senior-level authority for translating Zero Trust technical implementations into defensible, audit-ready authorization artifacts. You will ensure that the Zero Trust compliance posture remains current, transparent, and mission-enabling at every stage of the WDP security authorization continuum. Working within the National Capital Region (covering the Pentagon, Falls Church, and Fairfax), you will bridge the gap between engineering realities and security governance, ensuring that identity-centric access controls, network micro-segmentation, and continuous authentication mechanisms meet rigorous audit standards.

Nice to Have

Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility. Active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification. Experience operating within or supporting multi-enclave cybersecurity environments spanning NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS. Familiarity with the DoW Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) model, Cybersecurity Operations Plan (CYP) development, and the transition from the traditional seven-step RMF to the five-phase Cybersecurity and Risk Management Continuum (CSRMC). Experience with Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) technologies including Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Identity Provider (IdP) federation.
