About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to handle complex Agency and Non-Agency mortgage loans. In this role, you will apply sound judgment and risk assessment to loan exceptions, ensuring timely and accurate underwriting decisions while maintaining high productivity and consistent quality. You will work closely with loan officers, processors, and managers to manage a large pipeline efficiently without sacrificing quality. Additionally, you will provide guidance and mentorship to junior underwriters and processing staff as needed, staying current on changes in investor guidelines, Non-QM and Jumbo product offerings, and industry regulations.

Requirements
- verified5+ years of recent mortgage underwriting experience
- verifiedStrong focus on Jumbo and Non-QM products
- verifiedExpertise in high-volume underwriting environments
- verifiedProficiency in Encompass loan origination software
- verifiedDE (Direct Endorsement) or LAPP/SAR certifications (plus)
- verifiedDeep understanding of investor guidelines, credit and risk assessment
- verifiedKnowledge of compliance requirements (TRID, RESPA, ATR/QM)
- verifiedBilingual in English and Chinese/Spanish (strong plus)
