Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDevelop and implement MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs
- check_circlePerform system safety program tasks and analyses including hazard and design analyses
- check_circleManage System Safety Working Groups between Raytheon and Customer representatives
- check_circlePresent safety considerations at technical reviews and during the safety approval process
- check_circleCollaborate with integrated product teams to eliminate hazards and provide effective controls
- check_circlePrepare internal and customer reports describing various system safety analyses
- check_circleGain safety approval from Safety Review Board authorities throughout the product lifecycle
- check_circleCoordinate with customer safety representatives to clarify system requirements for design and architecture
- check_circleInterface with Systems, Software, Electrical, and Hardware Engineering functions
Requirements

- verifiedActive and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance

Nice to Have
Experience developing and implementing MIL-STD-882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses, involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400), including hardware and software safety related tasks. Experience with DoD System Safety Programs such as MIL-STD-882 or DO-178. Experience with presentation skills. Experience solving complex problems by leveraging available resources and research material. Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Proposal Development. Experience interfacing with Human Systems Integration showcasing execution of Human Factors Engineering tasking involving MIL-STD-1472. Experience with Engineering Change Proposals, Engineering Review Boards, and System Safety Working Groups.
