Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division is a world-class team recognized for its technical accomplishments and vision in the maritime and defense sectors. As a leading defense and security company, Saab's enduring purpose is to help nations keep their people and society safe. Empowered by talented people, the company constantly pushes the boundaries of technology to create a safer and more sustainable world. In the U.S., Saab delivers advanced technology and systems supporting the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join a team defining, architecting, and delivering software solutions for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). You will be a key contributor to expanding Saab's portfolio of products and technologies, gaining tremendous experience with unmanned maritime systems.
Unlike many software positions, this role offers a unique perspective on the entire lifecycle of a delivered system. You will see how your efforts contribute to the success of the final product and may even have the chance to witness the system operated at sea. You will solve difficult problems and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide needed capabilities to our customers.
Applicants selected for this role must be U.S. citizens and are subject to a government security investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment, in adherence to Saab's federal government contractor policies for sustaining drug-free workplaces.
Saab values diversity as an asset and offers unlimited opportunities for advancing in your career. We respect each person's needs and encourage employees to lead a balanced, rewarding life beyond work. Saab is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, and all qualified individuals are encouraged to apply without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability status, or any other federal, state, or locally protected category.
