Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division is a world-class team recognized for its technical accomplishments and vision in the maritime and defense sectors. Empowered by talented engineers, the group pushes the boundaries of technology to create safer and more sustainable solutions for the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners. The AUS division focuses on defining, architecting, and delivering software products for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the Saab AUS team, helping to expand our portfolio of products and capabilities while gaining tremendous experience with unmanned maritime software and systems. Unlike many software positions, this role offers a unique perspective: you will see how your efforts contribute to the entire lifecycle and success of a delivered system, from design and prototyping to verification and support. In some cases, you may even have the chance to witness the systems you help build operated at sea.
You will solve difficult problems and collaborate with a team of engineers to create innovative solutions that provide needed capabilities to our customers. This position is ideal for those who want to work on challenging technical problems within a supportive, business casual atmosphere that values work-life balance and professional growth.
Saab values diversity as an asset and offers unlimited opportunities for advancing in your career. We respect each person's needs and encourage employees to lead a balanced, rewarding life beyond work. Saab is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and an Affirmative Action employer for protected veterans and individuals with disabilities. All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply and will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability status, or any other federal, state, or locally protected category.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and must hold or be able to obtain a U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. As a federal government contractor, Saab adheres to policies for sustaining drug-free workplaces; passing a pre-employment drug screen is a condition of employment.
