Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division is a world-class team recognized for its technical accomplishments and vision in the maritime and defense sectors. Empowered by talented engineers, the group pushes the boundaries of technology to create safer and more sustainable solutions for the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join a technical team defining, architecting, and delivering software for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). This role is designed for an innovative engineer who wants to see their efforts contribute to the entire lifecycle of a delivered system, from design to sea operations.
You will be a key contributor to expanding Saab's portfolio of products and capabilities, gaining tremendous experience with unmanned maritime software. Unlike many software positions, you will solve difficult problems while witnessing the systems you help build operated at sea. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative solutions, perform technical tradeoff analyses, and ensure the successful integration and verification of complex software products.
Applicants selected for this role must be U.S. citizens and are subject to a government security investigation to obtain a U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance. As a federal government contractor, all candidates are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.
Saab is a company where diversity is seen as an asset, offering unlimited opportunities for career advancement. We respect each person's needs and encourage employees to lead a balanced, rewarding life beyond work. Saab is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, considering all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability status, or any other protected category.
