Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division is a world-class team recognized for its technical accomplishments and vision in the maritime and defense sectors. Empowered by talented engineers, the group keeps pushing the boundaries of technology to create safer and more sustainable solutions for the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join a team defining, architecting, and delivering software for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). This role is distinct from typical software positions because you will see how your efforts contribute to the entire lifecycle and success of a delivered system. You will gain tremendous experience with unmanned maritime software, potentially witnessing the systems you build operated at sea.
You will be a key contributor to expanding Saab's portfolio of products and technologies, solving difficult problems to provide needed capabilities to our customers. Working within a business casual atmosphere, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain software across Linux, Windows, and embedded platforms.
Applicants selected for this role must be U.S. citizens and are subject to a government security investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment, in adherence to federal government contractor policies for sustaining drug-free workplaces.
Saab values diversity as an asset and offers unlimited opportunities for advancing in your career. We respect each person's needs and encourage employees to lead a balanced, rewarding life beyond work. Saab is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, and all qualified individuals are encouraged to apply without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability status, or any other federal, state, or locally protected category.
