Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division is a world-class team recognized for its technical accomplishments and vision in the maritime and defense sectors. Empowered by talented engineers, the team pushes the boundaries of technology to create safer and more sustainable solutions for unmanned maritime systems. As a leading defense and security company, Saab helps nations keep their people and society safe by delivering advanced technology and systems to the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners.
We are seeking an innovative Senior Software Engineer to join technical teams defining, architecting, and maintaining software products for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). As a key contributor, you will help expand our portfolio of products and technologies while gaining tremendous experience with unmanned maritime systems.
Unlike many software positions, this role offers a unique perspective on the entire lifecycle of a delivered system. You will see how your efforts contribute to the success of the final product, with the potential to witness the systems you help build operated at sea. You will solve difficult problems and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver capabilities that meet critical customer needs.
Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Saab values diversity as an asset and offers unlimited opportunities for advancing in your career. We respect each person's needs and encourage employees to lead a balanced, rewarding life beyond work. Saab is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and an Affirmative Action employer for protected veterans and individuals with disabilities. All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply and will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability status, or any other federal, state, or locally protected category.
