Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division is a world-class team recognized for its technical accomplishments and vision in the maritime and defense sectors. Empowered by talented engineers, the group pushes the boundaries of technology to create safer and more sustainable solutions for the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join a team defining, architecting, and delivering software for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). This role is designed for an innovative engineer who wants to see their efforts contribute to the entire lifecycle of a delivered system, from design to sea operations.
You will be a key contributor to expanding Saab's portfolio of products and technologies, gaining tremendous experience with unmanned maritime systems. Unlike many software positions, you will solve difficult problems and witness the systems you help build operated at sea. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop technical concepts, perform tradeoff analyses, and ensure the successful integration and verification of complex software solutions.
Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold or be able to obtain a U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance. As a condition of employment, all candidates are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen in adherence to Saab's federal government contractor policies.
