Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division is a world-class team recognized for its technical accomplishments and vision in the maritime and defense sectors. Empowered by talented engineers, the division pushes the boundaries of technology to create safer and more sustainable solutions for unmanned maritime systems. As a federal government contractor, Saab helps nations keep their people and society safe by delivering advanced technology and systems to the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners.
We are seeking an innovative Senior Software Engineer to join technical teams defining, architecting, and delivering software for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). This role is designed for a key contributor who wants to see their efforts impact the entire lifecycle of a delivered system. Unlike many software positions, you will gain tremendous experience with unmanned maritime systems and may even witness your work operated at sea.
You will partner with a team of engineers to solve difficult problems and expand our portfolio of products and capabilities. Your day will involve collaborating on technical concepts, tradeoffs, and designs while supporting modeling, simulation, and integration activities. You will be part of a culture that values diversity as an asset, respects individual needs, and encourages a balanced, rewarding life beyond work.
Applicants selected for this role must be U.S. citizens and are subject to a government security investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment, in adherence to Saab's drug-free workplace policies.
Saab is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and an Affirmative Action employer for protected veterans and individuals with disabilities. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability status, or any other federal, state, or locally protected category.
