Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division is a world-class team recognized for its technical accomplishments and vision in the maritime and defense sectors. Our mission is to help nations keep their people and society safe by pushing the boundaries of technology. We deliver advanced technology and systems that support the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners.
We are seeking an innovative Senior Software Engineer to join technical teams defining, architecting, and delivering software solutions for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). As a key contributor, you will expand our portfolio of products and technologies while gaining deep experience with unmanned maritime systems.
Unlike many software positions, this role offers a unique perspective on the entire lifecycle of a delivered system. You will see how your efforts contribute to the success of the final product, with the potential to witness the systems you help build operated at sea. You will solve difficult problems and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide critical capabilities to our customers.
Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold or be able to obtain a U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance. As a condition of employment, all candidates are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen in adherence to our federal government contractor policies.
At Saab, we see diversity as an asset and offer unlimited opportunities for career advancement. We respect each person's needs and encourage employees to lead a balanced, rewarding life beyond work. Saab is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and an Affirmative Action employer for protected veterans and individuals with disabilities. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability status, or any other federal, state, or locally protected category.
