Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division is a world-class team recognized for its technical accomplishments and vision in the maritime and defense sectors. Empowered by talented engineers, the group pushes the boundaries of technology to create safer and more sustainable solutions for the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners. The AUS division focuses on defining, architecting, and delivering software products for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the Saab AUS team, helping to expand our portfolio of products and capabilities while gaining tremendous experience with unmanned maritime software and systems. Unlike many software positions, this role offers a unique perspective: you will see how your efforts contribute to the entire lifecycle and success of a delivered system, from design to verification. In some cases, you may even have the chance to witness the systems you help build operated at sea.
You will join a team dedicated to solving difficult problems and delivering systems that provide critical capabilities to our customers. This position is ideal for an innovative engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to apply software engineering fundamentals to create innovative solutions for challenging defense and security applications.
Applicants selected for this role will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen. The selection process evaluates technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Saab is a leading defense and security company with an enduring purpose to help nations keep their people and society safe. We see diversity as an asset and offer unlimited opportunities for advancing in your career. Saab respects each person's needs and encourages employees to lead a balanced, rewarding life beyond work.
