Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division is a world-class team recognized for its technical accomplishments and vision in the maritime and defense sectors. As a leading defense and security company, Saab's enduring purpose is to help nations keep their people and society safe. Empowered by 28,000 talented people, the company constantly pushes the boundaries of technology to create a safer and more sustainable world. In the U.S., Saab delivers advanced technology and systems supporting the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join a team defining, architecting, and delivering software solutions for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). This role is designed for an innovative engineer who wants to see their efforts contribute to the entire lifecycle of a delivered system, from design to sea operations. Unlike many software positions, you will gain tremendous experience with unmanned maritime systems while solving difficult problems that provide critical capabilities to customers.
You will be a key contributor to expanding Saab's portfolio of products and technologies. The position offers a unique opportunity to witness the systems you help build operated at sea, providing a deep understanding of how software impacts real-world defense and security missions.
Applicants selected for this role will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. As a condition of employment, candidates are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Saab values diversity as an asset and offers unlimited opportunities for advancing in your career. We are an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and an Affirmative Action employer for protected veterans and individuals with disabilities. All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply and will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability status, or any other federal, state, or locally protected category. We respect each person's needs and encourage employees to lead a balanced, rewarding life beyond work.
