Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division is a world-class team recognized for its technical accomplishments and vision in the maritime and defense sectors. Empowered by talented engineers, the group pushes the boundaries of technology to create safer and more sustainable solutions for unmanned maritime systems. As a leading defense and security company, Saab helps nations keep their people and society safe by delivering advanced technology to the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners.
We are seeking an innovative Senior Software Engineer to join technical teams defining, architecting, and maintaining software for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). This role is designed for a key contributor who will help expand our portfolio of products and capabilities while gaining tremendous experience with unmanned maritime systems.
Unlike many software positions, you will see how your efforts contribute to the entire lifecycle and success of a delivered system. You will solve difficult problems and help deliver systems that provide needed capabilities to our customers. In this capacity, you may even have the chance to witness the systems you help build operated at sea.
Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a government security investigation. Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and must hold or be able to obtain a U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance. As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen, as Saab adheres to policies necessary for sustaining drug-free workplaces.
Saab values diversity as an asset and offers unlimited opportunities for advancing in your career. We respect each person's needs and encourage employees to lead a balanced, rewarding life beyond work. We are an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, and all qualified individuals are encouraged to apply without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability status, or any other federal, state, or locally protected category.
