Saab Inc.'s Autonomous and Undersea Systems (AUS) division is a world-class team recognized for its technical accomplishments and vision in the maritime and defense sectors. Empowered by talented engineers, the team pushes the boundaries of technology to create safer and more sustainable solutions for unmanned maritime systems. As a federal government contractor, Saab helps nations keep their people and society safe by delivering advanced technology to the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners.
We are seeking an innovative Senior Software Engineer to join technical teams defining, architecting, and delivering software for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). This role is designed for a key contributor who wants to see the full lifecycle of their work, from design and prototyping to integration, verification, and delivery.
Unlike many software positions, you will witness your efforts contribute directly to the success of a delivered system, with the unique opportunity to see that system operated at sea. You will solve difficult problems to expand our portfolio of products and capabilities, gaining tremendous experience with unmanned maritime software. The position offers a business casual atmosphere with a focus on professional growth, work-life balance, and the chance to lead a rewarding life beyond work.
Applicants selected for this role will be subject to a government security investigation. Candidates must hold or be able to obtain a U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance and must be a U.S. citizen to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen in adherence to federal government contractor policies for sustaining drug-free workplaces.
Saab values diversity as an asset and offers unlimited opportunities for advancing in your career. We are an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and an Affirmative Action employer for protected veterans and individuals with disabilities. All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply and will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability status, or any other federal, state, or locally protected category.
