Empowered by talented engineers, the group pushes the boundaries of technology to create safer and more sustainable solutions for the U.S. Armed Forces, the Federal Aviation Administration, and international partners. The AUS division specifically focuses on defining, architecting, and delivering software for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the Saab AUS team, helping to expand our portfolio of products and capabilities while gaining tremendous experience with unmanned maritime software and systems. Unlike many software positions, this role offers a unique perspective: you will see how your efforts contribute to the entire lifecycle and success of a delivered system, from design to verification. You may even have the chance to witness the systems you help build operated at sea.

You will solve difficult problems and collaborate with a team of engineers to create innovative solutions. This is a role where you will not only write code but also participate in technical reviews, present tradeoff analyses, and support modeling and simulation activities. You will work across the full software product lifecycle, ensuring that the systems you help develop provide critical capabilities to our customers.
