The AUS division specifically focuses on defining, architecting, and delivering software products for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (USVs/UUVs/AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the Saab AUS team, helping to expand our portfolio of products, technologies, and capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to gain tremendous experience with unmanned maritime software and systems while solving difficult problems that deliver critical capabilities to our customers. Unlike many software positions, you will see how your efforts contribute to the entire lifecycle and success of a delivered system, with the unique chance to witness that system operated at sea.

You will join a team of engineers working on Linux, Windows, and embedded platforms to design, implement, and maintain software in multiple programming languages. Your day will involve applying software engineering fundamentals to create innovative solutions, supporting modeling and simulation activities, and developing technical concepts and tradeoffs. You will participate in the full software product lifecycle—from development and prototyping to verification, delivery, and support—while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
