About the Role
The Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator will manage and optimize Client Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. This role is responsible for ensuring system stability, security, and performance while supporting a range of enterprise applications. The position requires advanced expertise in Linux administration, automation, troubleshooting, and security best practices within a complex networked system environment that demands 24/7 system availability.
Day in the Life
In this role, you will install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers across development, testing, and production environments. You will perform system upgrades, patch management, and security hardening to ensure compliance with industry standards. A significant portion of the role involves implementing automation scripts using tools like Ansible, Bash, or Python to streamline system administration tasks. You will also configure and maintain Red Hat Satellite, Identity Management (IdM), and other RHEL ecosystem tools. Collaboration with security teams is essential to ensure systems are protected against vulnerabilities and comply with security policies. Additionally, you will support application teams by providing guidance on best practices for Linux-based deployments and participate in on-call support and incident resolution activities as required.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor’s or postgraduate degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
- verifiedRed Hat Certified Systems Administrator certification with valid number
- verified10+ years experience as a Red Hat system administrator
- verified10+ years experience administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems
- verified15+ years experience in the Information Technology (IT) field
