At RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, 185,000 great minds are united by purpose to solve the world's most complex problems. With three market-leading businesses and world-class operations, we push the boundaries of known science to connect and protect our world.
Raytheon brings over 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today's mission and stay ahead of tomorrow's threats. Our foundation is rooted in a higher calling: to help our nation and allies defend freedom and deter aggression. We deliver solutions that create a safer, more secure world, solving tough, meaningful problems that shape the future of aerospace and defense.
As a Senior Principal Platform IAC Engineer, you will lead a small technical team in developing and maintaining our modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution. You will support a critical, strategic national asset, managing environments that serve as the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing. These environments encompass a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware.
This role blends hands-on keyboard engineering with documentation and baseline control. You will leverage industry best practices to deploy, implement, and modernize IaC solutions, while leading the integration of container development and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes/Docker). Your work will optimize build and test pipelines for performance and scalability across on-premise, virtualized, and cloud-based computing environments.
This position is based in Richardson, TX, at the Cityline C27 facility. The role is designated as Onsite, requiring daily work at the facility. Occasional travel to customer sites may be necessary for upgrade and implementation activities. As part of our commitment to a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations.
This position requires an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance prior to your start date. Specifically, a TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph is required on day one. U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for this level of security clearance. The clearance process is handled by DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense.
At RTX, our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. We value Safety, Trust, Respect, Accountability, Collaboration, and Innovation. We are committed to maintaining a secure hiring process and fostering an environment where great minds are inspired to make a difference.
