We are seeking an Expert Network Administrator to support a hybrid security infrastructure within the Department. This 30-month position is based in New York, NY, and requires a hybrid work model for local candidates with a valid local ID.
In this role, you will serve as a top-tier authority in the field, providing guidance to large teams while managing complex network environments. You will be responsible for maintaining computer infrastructures with a specific emphasis on networking, ensuring the integrity and resilience of on-site servers and software-network interactions. Your expertise will be critical in implementing security solutions, including threat prevention, URL filtering, and SSL decryption, while managing enterprise firewalls and intrusion protection systems.
Your daily work will involve installing, configuring, and managing firewall security appliances within a high-availability architecture. You will ensure these appliances are patched and maintained with the latest security and upgrade software. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to configuring and managing Azure-based networking and security, including the creation of firewall rules, VNETs, and Express Routes.
You will monitor the VPN solution to guarantee high availability and security, while also monitoring the security center for compliance with relevant benchmarks and standards. Additionally, you will assist in creating ARM templates as needed and produce detailed network diagrams, documentation, standards, policies, and procedures. A key aspect of this position involves mentoring staff and developing BGP routing solutions for encrypted tunnels between remote locations.
Candidates must possess Fortinet NSE Certification and have extensive experience (84+ months) in administration, engineering, and mentoring. This role is open to local candidates only; please ensure you meet the location requirements before applying.
