Founded in 1978, D.R. Horton is a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange and a Fortune 500 home builder. We specialize in constructing high-quality homes for the entry-level and first-time move-up markets. Beyond building, we provide comprehensive mortgage financing and title services through our subsidiaries to support homebuyers throughout their journey.
As a Senior Land Development Manager in Washington, you will lead the transformation of raw land into buildable lots for single and multi-family communities. This role exists to ensure the quality, consistency, and efficiency of our development process, bridging the gap between agricultural land and finished home sites. You will manage a team of Land Development and Project Managers, overseeing everything from master planning and engineering design to entitlements and infrastructure construction.
Your day will involve coordinating complex land development activities with ongoing agricultural operations to facilitate timely land use transitions. You will represent D.R. Horton in high-stakes interactions with government officials, utility companies, and the public regarding entitlements and infrastructure. The role requires extensive travel between development sites, working closely with city inspectors and third-party contractors to review plats and engineering plans. Success in this position means fostering a professional, ethical environment that increases company goodwill while delivering cost-effective solutions to emerging challenges.
We are a winning team growing fast, looking for enthusiastic attitudes and collaborative team players to help build our future. At D.R. Horton, we believe in building more than just houses; we build communities and careers.
D.R. Horton is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
