Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDesign, develop, and implement IT systems for the core Droplet product
- check_circleCollect and analyze metrics to improve products and infrastructure
- check_circleEngage in peer reviews for system changes
- check_circleDevelop and lead execution of test plans for reliable service
- check_circleValidate GPU fabric performance with hardware engineering teams
- check_circleCollaborate with open source Linux, QEMU, QEMU, and libvirt communities
- check_circleBackport, build, and deploy software patches for new features and bug fixes
- check_circleSuggest and implement improvements to code release pipelines
- check_circleMaintain low-level virtual machine stack and support future updates
- check_circleAccelerate virtualization of GPU-enabled platforms for AI/ML workloads
- check_circleContribute to regular on-call rotation schedule
Requirements
- verifiedStrong understanding of Linux-based operating systems
- verifiedDeep experience with internals of QEMU, KVM, Linux kernel and libvirt
- verifiedStrong proficiency in C
- verifiedStrong knowledge of DigitalOcean's proprietary services and how they intersect with the intersect with the virtualization stack
