Abbott is a global healthcare leader dedicated to helping people live more fully at all stages of life. Our portfolio of life-changing technologies spans the entire spectrum of healthcare, featuring leading businesses and products in diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals, and branded generic medicines. With 115,000 colleagues serving people in more than 160 countries, we are committed to innovation and excellence in patient care.
Reporting to the DVP of AI, Data, and Automation, the Senior Director of Information Management, Data and Analytics will own the strategy and leadership of our enterprise data and analytics capability. This role exists to architect a pragmatic transition from a fragmented data landscape to a modern, AI-ready foundation without disrupting the critical business operations Abbott depends on today.
You will lead a global technical organization of 50+ FTEs across four interconnected domains: Data Analytics & BI, Data Mesh & Products, Data Platform & Integration, and Governance & Information Management. Your day-to-day involves defining multi-year strategies aligned with Abbott's AI agenda, establishing architectural blueprints for cloud-native data fabrics, and driving the shift from pipeline operations to a federated data product model. You will ensure the data estate is clean, accessible, and governed for AI inference, while fostering a culture of engineering excellence where data quality is a core team value rather than just a compliance obligation.
Candidates selected for this role will engage in a comprehensive interview process designed to assess strategic vision, technical depth, and leadership fit. The process typically includes an initial screening, followed by deep-dive discussions on data architecture and transformation strategies, and concludes with team collaboration sessions to evaluate cultural alignment and leadership style.
Abbott is an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Women, Individuals with Disabilities, and Protected Veterans. We believe that diverse perspectives drive innovation and better patient outcomes. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every colleague can thrive and contribute to our mission of helping people live more fully.
