About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Detention Officer with a passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional, secure setting. This role is designed for a professional who can balance operational security with the preservation of each inmate's legal rights.
In this position, you will assist in the supervision of administrative and operational security activities within the facility. You will directly supervise Detention Officers assigned to your shift, ensuring they perform their duties in accordance with facility and corporate policies. Your day-to-day involves providing general supervision of both staff and residents, conducting inspections of housing and general use areas to maintain standards for security, health, safety, and sanitation, and assisting in the internal and external security of the facility by routinely inspecting posts to confirm alertness and proper security maintenance.
