The Senior Data Scientist operates under managerial supervision to lead quantitative modeling and analytics focused on financial crimes. This position is pivotal in addressing compliance needs within AML, BSA, and OFAC frameworks. The role encompasses the full lifecycle of model development, from data identification and gathering to methodology selection, performance assessment, documentation, and ongoing monitoring.
You will leverage both current and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvements in model effectiveness, such as reducing false positives. Success in this role requires a blend of technical expertise in statistical coding and machine learning, alongside the ability to translate complex technical observations into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with compliance, technology, and risk partners to ensure conceptually sound designs and proper implementation of both internal models and vendor solutions.
This position is based in Brooklyn, Ohio, with a primary requirement for in-office presence. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to Cleveland, OH, or Buffalo, NY.
