About the Role
This position serves as a critical security liaison within a federal environment, focusing on the safe movement and monitoring of non-cleared personnel. As a Security Escort, you will be responsible for providing direct escort services to contracted and uncleared construction personnel, ensuring they remain within designated work area perimeters. Your role involves guiding the onsite movement of contractors, vendors, and visitors while actively monitoring activities in, near, and around secure government buildings.
A key aspect of this position is the safeguarding of classified locations. You will exercise sound judgment and caution to ensure that non-cleared personnel adhere strictly to non-secure areas. This includes monitoring construction activities within secure buildings, which may involve Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF). You are expected to identify and immediately report any non-compliant or suspicious activity to maintain the integrity of the facility.
Team Context
You will be joining a dedicated security team tasked with protecting sensitive government infrastructure during active construction phases. Success in this role requires a positive attitude, punctuality, and the ability to follow instructions precisely, especially given the early start times required for the shift.
