About the Role
We are seeking an SDET to ensure the reliability of our systems across a diverse hardware landscape, ranging from simple workstations to high-end servers. In this role, you will test all aspects of the system, including Java and web-based front ends running on Windows clients and Linux servers, backed by Oracle and Postgres databases.
You will be responsible for building and configuring test environments independently, utilizing both bare metal and VM servers to mirror a multitude of installed baselines. Your day-to-day involves creating test plans and scripts, documenting results, and communicating issues to the development team while identifying potential solutions. You may also be tasked with ad hoc testing scenarios, such as replicating field-reported problems or conducting load testing under specific conditions.
This position supports one or more ongoing Agile Scrum teams, requiring you to quickly master system functionality, peripheral devices, and the requirements driving system design. Success in this role demands strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with developers and stakeholders.
