About the Team

L3Harris Technologies' Mission Networks team delivers modern, secure, reliable, and resilient telecommunications networks and information management systems. We develop critical communication capabilities for air traffic control, air-to-ground data communication, secure access to situational awareness data, and secure information sharing with state agencies.

The Mission Networks Cloud team leverages major Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) to deliver modern solutions that support customer operations and information management services. We value a strong knowledge of software development best practices and a proven track record of delivering and deploying cloud-ready applications and services.

About the Role

The Cloud Software Architect serves as a technical expert and bridge between internal and external customers, designing, developing, and fielding cloud architectures that meet complex system requirements. This role is integral to the entire systems development lifecycle, spanning from pursuit and technical baseline development to requirements definition, system-level software design, integration support, testing, and selloff.

In this position, you will work closely with implementation and R&D teams to execute awarded programs, providing hands-on assistance to ensure successful delivery. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert on cloud, microservices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevSecOps topics, leading teams in supporting enterprise solutions. Your work will involve designing large-scale distributed systems using microservices and containers, creating and maintaining virtualized and cloud-ready environments, and collaborating with security teams to define and implement necessary controls.

Additionally, you will support business development efforts by writing white papers, performing trade studies, participating in fast prototyping, and crafting technical responses for proposals and new program pursuits. You will interface directly with customers to understand use cases, define requirements, and field solutions in customer environments to support critical missions.
