About the Role
Wegmans is seeking an independent, task-oriented Security Specialist to play a critical role in communicating between the Asset Protection team and store leadership. You will be the face of safety in our Ithaca, NY store, fostering a positive shopping and working environment while building strong relationships throughout the community.
In this role, you will prioritize safety, analyze trends to maximize sales and minimize loss, and manage CCTV systems. You will respond to emergency situations, provide guidance to employees and customers, and conduct investigations as directed. The ideal candidate is someone who can maintain composure in stressful environments and effectively manage conflict while keeping customer service top of mind.

Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field. Related experience in security and/or loss prevention. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) or First Responder certification. Leadership experience, preferably in a retail setting.
